Welcome to the blog Help Us Brighten Homes.You may want to know a little about the owner of this blog. My name is Juliet Christie Murray who lives and works in Jamaica. I also write under the pen-name Soy Criada.
I am a trained Home Economics teacher. As a Home Economics teacher I actually train students to be creative and at the same time economical. I really am a Home Economist. I have fun turning things that many people see as useless into something of beauty, worth and value. That is why I have pleasure working with 13-15 years old students.
This is also the driving force behind me authoring two inspirational books of poems. Not really tooting my own horn but, they are really very good books. As a Home Economist one is trained to manage various aspect of home making. Which could include, Food and Nutrition, Clothing and textile, Home Management, and Family Life.
Believe me this subject really does cover a wide cross section of disciplines. I have created this site to help individuals manage some of the resource they have more efficiently to brighten their little spot called home.
